“With Liverpool, the conversations are continuing, let’s see if they can find financial agreement. The player is open to continuing at Liverpool, but obviously it’s an important contract for his career, so the conversation is going to continue with new contacts expected this month to take a final decision as soon as possible.”Though, as Romano confirms, the signs are currently looking positive for Konate remaining at Liverpool for a sixth season and beyond, weariness will remain until the 26-year-old finally puts pen to paper.
