The Premier League transfer window closes at the end of August, but there are still so many questions that needs answering with so many players and clubs.
Going into August – Premier League champions Manchester City have yet to strike a major deal and the same is true of Liverpool – with Dutchman Arne Slot now in charge at Anfield.
Arsenal and Manchester United have been amongst the busier of the big hitters having confirmed some huge deals for the likes of Riccardo Calafiori, Lenny Yoro and Joshua Zirkzee.
But what is left to come?…HITC’s Graeme Bailey looks at ten of the most talked about players heading into the final month of the transfer window.

Currently back at Atletico Madrid following a season long-loan at Barcelona, Portuguese star Joao Felix won’t be playing in the Spanish capital next season.
Barcelona would ideally like him back, but with their main focus on Nico Williams and Dani Olmo, that is looking unlikely which leaves former club Benfica and Aston Villa in contention.
HITC revealed in June, Liverpool’s desire to land him which coincided with the confirmation that Gordon was indeed a livelong Liverpool fan – something which was previously not known.
Liverpool retain an interest in Gordon and we haven’t see them make a move this summer, but could they make a renewed effort for the England winger – you certainly can’t discount it.
Wolves don’t have to sell Pedro Neto having already sold captain Max Kilman this summer, but they are prepared to sell at the right price.
We have already revealed that Neto’s representatives are in talks with a number of clubs with the likes of Tottenham and Newcastle showing strong interest, but the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool can’t be discounted at this point.
He signed a new contract over the New Year, which included a release clause which many presumed would help him seal a summer move away from Napoli.
However, things have thus far have not progressed.
Talks with Paris Saint-Germain have continued, whilst long-term admirers Chelsea have also maintained contact and the fact they are talking to Napoli about a deal for Romelu Lukaku, could yet tip the balance.
Aaron Ramsdale is still an Arsenal player coming into August, which is not something he will have been hoping was the case.
Early in the window he emerged as a target for Newcastle United but was priced out of a move to St James’ Park, but HITC revealed last month that a loan move could be an option.
And there is interest in Ramsdale, keep an eye on the player’s former club Bournemouth, as well as Nottingham Forest and Southampton.
Almost ever since Raphinha arrived in Barcelona, he has been linked with a move back to England but the summer of 2024 could very well see the former Leeds star return to the Premier League.
We understand that the Brazilian is now open to the prospect of the move, mainly because he is aware that Barcelona are hot on the trail of Nico Williams and the club are open to his sale.
A host of clubs are interested in Raphinha due his Premier League experience and the fact he showed excellent form with Barcelona last season.
Few players have been waiting for this summer more than Ivan Toney, but as we enter August there is a real question mark over whether the England striker moves.
Having featured at Euro 2024 – Toney would have been hoping previous suitors such as Arsenal, Chelsea or Manchester Untied might step up, but as yet nothing.
HITC confirmed interest from Spanish giants Atletico Madrid, but with Brentford standing firm over their valuation, and an injury to their summer signing Thiago, could Toney have to wait another 12-months for his big move?

There are a number of deals this summer that are reliant on others and there could be somewhat of a domino effect, and that is the case with Manuel Ugarte.
We revealed earlier this summer that the Uruguay midfielder had emerged as Manchester United’s top midfield target and Paris Saint-Germain are ready to do business, indeed Ugarte has confirmed his desire to move.
However, PSG are having a busy summer and their current priority is to finalise the signing of Benfica starlet Joao Neves and once he is on board in the French capital, that will likely see a deal accelerate for Ugarte.
Arguably, Nico Williams was the star of Euro 2024 and his performances for Spain underlined just why he has become one of the most wanted men in world football.
As previously revealed by HITC, Arsenal, Liverpool, Newcastle and Aston Villa have all held talks with Williams’s representatives this summer.
However, Williams has made it clear that he only wants to join Barcelona and if he does leave Athletic Bilbao – which is not yet 100% certain, it will be for the Nou Camp.
