Liverpool have one of the best academies in world football, with the Reds producing some truly exceptional players over the years.

From Steven Gerrard to Trent Alexander-Arnold, the Anfield side have seen some world-class players come through the youth ranks to become some of the biggest names in football that went on to make history at Liverpool.

With 2025 on the horizon, there’s good chance that Arne Slot could bring through a number of Liverpool academy players who could on to make a huge impact in the senior squad, following in the steps of current first-team stars Alexander-Arnold and Curtis Jones.

Here are three players who Liverpool fans should be keeping an eye on in 2025…

Liverpool have had an interesting track record of sorts when it comes to producing wingers over the years, with the Reds seeing a number of promising names come from the academy and into the first-team only to falter on the biggest stage.

Yet Joe Bradshaw will be looking to break the mold when his time comes for the Reds, with the 16-year-old Republic of Ireland youth international already causing waves this season In the U-18 Premier League and UEFA Youth League.

A right-winger who can also play centrally as an attacking midfielder, Bradshaw’s versatility has led to a productive year for Liverpool’s U-18s and in the Youth League, and a promotion to the U-21s and beyond could be on the cards heading into 2025.

When Kieran Morrison was last season called up by Jurgen Klopp to train with Liverpool’s senior squad, fans knew that they had an exciting talent on their hands, and the Northern Ireland youth international has impressed once again this season.

The 18-year-old has been a staple for Liverpool’s U-21s in Premier League 2 with Morrison potentially ready for a loan spell heading into the January transfer window, with the midfielder featuring in the EFL Trophy this season.

A capable central presence who can also play out on the wings if needed, Morrison has all the tools to really explode for Liverpool in 2025, and January could provide an opportunity for the youngster to really sink his teeth into the senior game with a loan move.

Arguably the most exciting player on this list, Ranel Young has been on the radar for some Liverpool fans for some time, with the 18-year-old England youth international thriving in both Premier League 2 and the UEFA Youth League this season.

An attacker who was tipped to succeed Roberto Firmino at Liverpool back in 2023, Young is another youngster who could be ready for a loan move in January having made the bench for Arne Slot’s first-team squad this season in the League Cup.

And with Young impressing week-in week-out at youth level, 2025 could be the year where the promising forward finally breaks into the senior game having earned his reputation at Liverpool at with the U-18s and now U-21s.
