Liverpool can tentatively begin to look ahead to its plans for the summer, when Arne Slot will have the opportunity to truly put his stamp on his squad.

With the Premier League title just a maximum of six points away now, the Reds' work is almost done for this season, and Slot and sporting director Richard Hughes can begin to look at what work needs to be done during the off-season.

They've already got something of a head start on that after Mohamed Salah signed a new two-year contract, giving the club one less position to worry about.



As things stand, there are three players with contracts expiring at the end of the current season, and therefore set to leave for free - although that could soon change.

Virgil van Dijk

When we say three players could leave Liverpool for free this summer, the likelihood is it will only be a maximum of two.

For the time being, he is set to become a free agent, although it looks as though that will be changing soon.

Vitezslav Jaros

Although Vitezslav Jaros' contract is listed as ending this summer on various sites, the goalkeeper is actually signed up for next season already.

Harvey Davies and Vitezslav Jaros look as though they will still be at Liverpool next season, although Caoimhin Kelleher may depart.

As things stand then, Jaros will continue to serve as Liverpool's No.3 next season.

Harvey Davies

Like Jaros, Harvey Davies is listed as being in danger of becoming a free agent this summer on various sites.

He is yet to make a senior appearance for the club, and it will be interesting to see what Liverpool decides to do with him next season.

Nat Phillips

Something of a forgotten man this season, Nat Phillips is in fact still a Liverpool player - although maybe not for long.

The defender, who has 29 senior appearances to his name for the Reds, joined Derby County on loan last summer, and has made 29 appearances in total this season
