The city of Liverpool celebrated long into the night when the title was secured with four matches still yet to play.
With Manchester City and Arsenal pushing each other all the way the previous season and Liverpool expected to go through a transition period under Slot, few tipped the Reds to win the Premier League.
Their range of pundits ranged from ex-Arsenal star Theo Walcott, former England international Chris Waddle, ex-Liverpool star Stephen Warnock and many more.
Eleven pundits believed Arsenal would win the Premier League at the third time of asking, while the other 19 believed Manchester City would win their fifth title in a row.
The closest any pundit came to tipping Liverpool for victory was Warnock, who believed they would finish above Arsenal and claim second place.
He said: "I am giving second place to Liverpool this time.
I just think a fresh voice in the dressing room, and new ideas, will be a positive thing.

"From what I've seen of them over pre-season, I think they are going to have more control of games and play very similarly to Manchester City and Arsenal, in the way their style is going to be more possession based.
Because of that, I don't think Liverpool are going to run out of steam as quickly."
One pundit who has looked particularly silly is Waddle, who confidently said: "The title race is between Manchester City and Arsenal, no-one else."
Ex-Chelsea star and Scottish international Pat Nevin made a similar comment, tipping Liverpool to not even finish in the top four.
Sky Sports pundit and Manchester United legend Gary Neville also claimed Liverpool would be outside the Champions League places, predicting them to finish fifth, behind Arsenal, City, Manchester United and Chelsea.
At the time, Liverpool had not signed anybody and were yet to bring in ex-Juventus forward Federico Chiesa, who arrived in the final days of the transfer window.
