Liverpool had the last laugh as they defied the predictions of 30 BBC pundits who did not tip Arne Slot's side to win the Premier League title.
The city of Liverpool partied into the night when the title was secured with four games still to play.
With Manchester City only just beating Arsenal to the title in the 2023/24 campaign, many believed those two would be occupying the top two spots, while Liverpool dealt with a transitional season under Slot.
Out of 30 pundits, 11 backed Arsenal to win the Premier League, while the other 19 anticipated City would secure their fifth consecutive title.
Interestingly, the most optimistic prediction for Liverpool from any pundit was from Warnock, who placed them just above Arsenal for a second-place finish.
I just think a fresh voice in the dressing room, and new ideas, will be a positive thing.

"From what I've seen of them over pre-season, I think they are going to have more control of games and play very similarly to Manchester City and Arsenal, in the way their style is going to be more possession based.
Because of that, I don't think Liverpool are going to run out of steam as quickly."
In a bold statement, Waddle completely overlooked Liverpool's chances, saying: "The title race is between Manchester City and Arsenal, no-one else."
Ex-Everton forward Pat Nevin thought the Reds would struggle to qualify for the Champions League, let alone challenge for the title.
Nevin said: "It is just a complete guess with them now, but I am thinking they will need another year under Arne Slot to make the top four."

Nevin wasn't alone in his prediction that the Reds would miss out on the top four.
Sky Sports pundit and ex-Manchester United captain Gary Neville also suggested Liverpool would fall short of the Champions League spots, forecasting a fifth-place finish behind Arsenal, City, United and Chelsea.
At that point, Liverpool hadn't made any new signings and were still to secure the services of ex-Juventus forward Federico Chiesa, who joined in the closing days of the transfer window.
