Liverpool could face a number of high profile exits this summer as they aim to reshape the squad.
The Reds are still on course to win the Premier League title and could end up with more trophies besides in 2024/25.
However, despite what looks set to be a successful campaign, there is a feeling that time is running out for a few in the Liverpool squad.
Key men Virgil van Dijk, Mohamed Salah and Trent Alexander-Arnold are still hurtling towards the exit door with no contract resolutions in sight, but they are not the only Liverpool players who’s futures are in doubt.
Darwin Nunez is expected to be sold as the Reds finally call time on a chaotic Anfield career, but along with Salah as well, there could be yet more change in the Liverpool forward line.
That’s because Luis Diaz may be another to leave the Reds.
With his own contract expiring in 2027, Diaz’s agents have now made something clear about his Liverpool future.

Diaz has been expected to be handed a new contract at Liverpool for some months now.
However, the slow process of tying down Van Dijk, Salah and Alexander-Arnold has delayed things somewhat.
He is still waiting for his extension.

As a result, chatter has begun to resurface that Diaz could join Barcelona at the end of the season.
And according to Colombian journalist Pipe Sierra, people close to the 28-year-old have confirmed there has been a ‘dialogue’ with the Catalan giants.
However, Diaz’s agents have also denied that the No.7 has been actively offered for sale.

“From Luis Diaz’s circle they deny that the Colombian has been offered to Barcelona,” Sierra writes on X.
With Nunez on his way out – and Salah seemingly going too – they probably cannot afford to lose Diaz as well.
That would leave the Reds with only three senior attacking options, with plenty of question marks surrounding both Federico Chiesa and Diogo Jota as two of the three.

Having said that, though, a new contract for Diaz would take the £49m man well into his thirties.
Given his patchy performances of late, that may not be something Liverpool want to do.
As a result, if we were Hughes and the Liverpool owners, we’d probably go all in on getting Salah to stay, and looking to find a buyer for Diaz.
With Nunez and Diaz gone, the Reds can then refresh their forward line with a new starting centre-forward and a new, younger wide option to rotate with Cody Gakpo.
