Luis Díaz has become a recent topic of discussion in regards to his Liverpool future having experienced a difficult season for the most part.
At the start of the Arne Slot era, Díaz experienced a purple patch from pre-season that continued into the first five matches of the Premier League, netting five goals and one assist in that time.
Although, since then the Colombian has struggled for consistency having been moved away from his favoured position of left-wing, into the centre-forward role.
Initially, this seemed to look like a masterstroke from the Liverpool head coach as Diaz scored a hat-trick against Bayer Leverkusen in November, but luck has since derailed with one goal in all competitions since the beginning of the new year.
Cody Gakpo’s resurgence has also seen Díaz’s playing time reduced.
Fabrizio Romano also clarified that discussions over a new contract are not at an advanced stage, and that the winger is likely to move on from Liverpool in the near future.
We will be taking a look at five clubs that Luis Díaz could look to join if he is to leave the club this summer.

Barcelona looks the most likely to be Luis Díaz’s next destination if he does depart from Anfield.
Former Barcelona player turned sporting director, Deco, has expressed a genuine interest in the Colombian and sees Diaz’s as part of the plans heading into next season.
For Díaz, it has been made clear that the Catalan club would be his ‘dream’ move, with his father, Luis Manuel, speaking on a possible departure back in 2023.
“Luis is a die-hard Barcelona fan and it would be a dream come true for him.”
In recent days, Fabrizio Romano has lifted the lid on the Spanish giants admiration for the Liverpool wide man.
“Luis Díaz is one of three/four names on Barcelona’s shortlist for the summer window.”
“Nothing has been agreed or discussed, especially on the club’s side because it’s too early and Barcelona will take their time before deciding who is the winger they want to sign.”

Manchester City were close to signing Luis Díaz from Liverpool in 2024 and their interest is expected to be reignited this summer.
There were reports of Díaz agreeing to join the reigning Premier League champions, but those were quickly rebuffed by both clubs.
City, like Liverpool, are expected to be busy during the upcoming window and winger Jack Grealish could be on the hunt for a new club, forcing the Citizens to look towards potential replacements.
The Manchester club have endured a lacklustre campaign, with the chance of a fifth Premier League title on the bounce now well out of reach.
City are stuck in fifth place and battling to remain in the fight for next season’s UEFA Champions League, having already exited the competition at the hands of Real Madrid.
Pep Guardiola is hoping to finish the season strongly, with the hopes of a rebuilding job to happen in the summer window.
Senior figures such as Grealish, Ilkay Gundogan and Bernardo Silva are all set to leave the club, alongside Kevin De Bruyne whose contract is up in June.
It would be a surprise if Liverpool are to allow Díaz to leave for a direct rival, given the history between the clubs.

Arsenal have also appeared in the conversation for Luis Díaz.
The Gunners are currently second in the league table, but a distant twelve points behind Liverpool with nine games to go.
Injuries to Arsenal’s forward line have become a consistent habit with both Gabriel Jesus and Kai Havertz ruled out for the remainder of the season, whilst Bukayo Saka, Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Martinelli having all experienced their own issues.
Mikel Arteta’s team have been heavily linked with a move for Athletic Bilbao’s Nico Williams, but Díaz has creeped into the conversations too.
Whilst there is no official contact from Arsenal to Liverpool, the club remain attentive to the situation.
The Reds are opening to selling the Colombian whilst Fabrizio Romano has confirmed there is no concrete interest from their Premier League rival, although the door could yet still open.

AC Milan are also set to battle for Luis Díaz’s signature this summer.
The Rossoneri have posed a strong interest in the Liverpool winger, but will only pursue a deal if Rafael Leao is to move elsewhere.
The Portugsl international is reportedly set to leave at the end of the season, alerting many clubs such as Barcelona, Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal.
As for Díaz, he would be targeted as a direct replacement for Leao, but talks of a swap-deal between the two clubs is unlikely at this stage.
The winger is just one name of many on AC Milan’s radar this summer.

Saudi Arabia has emerged as a concrete possibility if Luis Díaz is to call time on his three-year Liverpool stay, with Al-Hilal forming a clear interest in the forward.
The Reds value Díaz in between £50-60million and Al-Hilal have been placed on high alert.
The club already tabled a first offer of around £43million back in 2023, but Liverpool immediately rejected with the winger a key part of their plans back then, although, a clear change in stance, could see the Blue Waves re-enter negotiations this term.
Al-Hilal are currently second in the Saudi Pro League and are at risk of being dethroned as the current champions, with a four-point gap having opened on leaders Al-Ittihad.
Neymar’s move from the Saudi side to boyhood club, Santos, in January means that Al-Hilal are still on the search for his ideal successor.
Luis Díaz is about to enter into his final two years of his Liverpool contract and the club must make a decision on the player sooner rather than later.
As things stand, it will be a huge surprise if Arne Slot heads into next season with the Colombian remaining as one of his forward options.
