Gordon was strongly linked with a move to his childhood club amid Newcastle's rush to sell due to concerns they might breach the Premier League's profit and sustainability rules last month.

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia
After impressing at Euro 2024, and attracting a lot of attention during Napoli's 2022/23 title-winning season, the Georgian winger has been linked with Liverpool ever since Salah's departure became a possibility.
With Salah likely to end his legendary stint at the club when his contract expires next season, he will be hard to replace, and the Reds hope that Kvaratskhelia could be the one to succeed the Egyptian.

It's also been reported that Liverpool, along with two other Premier League clubs, are keen on signing the player, despite PSG having their £110m bid rejected.

Securing Kvaratskhelia would be complex due to his hefty valuation and Napoli's determination to retain him, yet it's evident that Slot, the new manager, is looking to bolster the wing position.
