Manchester City believe that Gakpo would fit the bill as an addition and want to get in ahead of Tottenham to agree terms with Liverpool. The Reds want another winger too, which could be essential to sanction Gakpo’s exit.

And Liverpool’s winger business is sure to be key to whether or not the door is opened for Gakpo. Manchester City though are pushing now and will want to get a Gakpo deal done to make sure they can hold off Tottenham’s efforts to land the Dutchman.
