Alan Shearer believes Mohamed Salah could break his Premier League goals record after signing a new contract at Liverpool.
The Egyptian has ended the speculation surrounding his future at Anfield by committing his future to the Reds.
Salah has signed a new two-year deal, which will keep him on Merseyside until 2027.
With his new contract signed, Salah will be setting his sights on winning the Premier League title with Liverpool this season.
Salah currently sits third on Liverpool’s all-time top scorers list on 243 goals, with Roger Hunt (285) and Ian Rush (346) the only players ahead of him now.
Not only will he be looking to move up the club’s list of legends, but he can also further cement his status as one of the Premier League’s all-time greats.

Salah can certainly set his sights on overtaking Kane over the next couple of years, and Shearer isn’t ruling the Egyptian out of going on to break his record in the future.
“I don't suspect that my Premier League goalscoring record is on Mo Salah’s mind, but the record is going to go one day and whoever it goes to, whether it's Harry Kane, Mo Salah or Erling Haaland, I guess there's so many ifs and buts,” Shearer told Betfair.
“It will go one day and it might be Salah who does it, yeah.”
Salah’s new deal will come as a huge boost to Arne Slot, who will also be hoping Virgil van Dijk can follow his lead soon
