Alexander Isak may have just given Newcastle fans more hope that he’ll be staying put at St James’ Park as he continues to be linked with a move to Liverpool.
The striker was at the heart of the Magpies’ celebrations on Saturday as they paraded the Carabao Cup around the city, following their win over the Reds at Wembley.
Isak of course played a big part in the club’s first major trophy for 70 years, scoring what turned out to be the winner in their 2-1 victory.
But while Newcastle fans and players alike were clearly reveling in their triumph, there continues to be some uncertainty over what the future holds for Isak.

What’s more, the striker has recently denied suggestions that he’s been in talks over a new deal at Newcastle, raising hopes among Liverpool fans that he might be eyeing up a move away.
There was little sign of him angling for an exit on Saturday though, with Isak posting a message to Newcastle fans following the parade.
