Liverpool have been handed a potential boost in the race to sign Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak.
Reports in recent weeks have claimed that the Reds may be in the race to sign the Sweden international during the summer transfer window.
Isak's future has been the subject of intense speculation ever since before the January transfer window opened.
The striker has scored 19 goals in all competitions this season for Newcastle, which has led to rumours that he could be set for a big-money move in the near future.
Reports have suggested that Isak may be valued at around £150million by the St James' Park club, with Liverpool one of the clubs rumoured to be interested.
Now, the Reds have been handed a possible boost if the speculation about interest from Anfield turns out to be genuine.
According to TEAMtalk, Isak would be interested in signing for Liverpool if the Reds were to submit an offer to sign him this summer.
It has been reported that the 25-year-old is keen to play for a club that can offer Champions League football next season, which would hand Liverpool an advantage if Newcastle miss out on Europe's elite cup competition.
The report claims that Isak have placed Isak on a shortlist of potential centre forwards that they may look to target in the summer.
However, it has been suggested that the Anfield hierarchy are undecided on whether or not to make an bid to sign the striker when the transfer window reopens.
Liverpool, though, are not alone in being linked with a move for Isak.
