Alexis Mac Allister has posted a possible team news hint on his social media ahead of Liverpool's Premier League showdown with Brentford.

The Reds are looking to return to winning ways and move into an early seven-point lead before rivals Arsenal host Aston Villa.

Mac Allister dropped a hint on his social media channels, posting a graphic previewing the top-flight encounter.

Needless to say, this could just be someone running their accounts for them, posting regardless of whether they are going to be involved or not.

But his post comes during a time where he could need competitive minutes with an ideal opportunity presented, following Arne Slot's comments.

Slot was forced to field questions on the confidence of Mac Allister's South American compatriot Darwin Nunez following the forward's recent struggles.

The most important thing is that we as a team are able to score every single game and there are only two games this season when we didn't score.

"That tells me we have goals in our team.

Darwin will score his goals like he did for this club already.
