The last thing Liverpool fans want to hear is Real Madrid poking their nose into Alexis Mac Allister and his future at Anfield.
Earlier this week, reports from Marca declared that Liverpool’s N0.10 was a topic of conversation in the Real Madrid boardroom.
Spanish journalist Jose Felix Diaz then added even more fuel to the news, claiming that Carlo Ancelotti’s side loves the player and wants to sign him ahead of former Liverpool target Martin Zubimendi.
However, Carlos Mac Allister, the father of Alexis, has come out to quash the speculation before it reaches a high point.
Speaking to journalist Ismael Mahmoud, Carlos eased any concerns and maintained that the right degree of respect must be shown to the Anfield club:
“There’s nothing to comment.”
“Alexis is very happy at Liverpool and hopes to be crowned Premier League champion, then enjoy a break he didn’t get last year.”
“It’s important to value and respect the institution he’s playing for, so any comment from us would be unnecessary.”
“He has a contract until 2028?
He’s happy at the club — let’s hope he stays there.”
