Alexis Mac Allister has made himself a midfield stalwart in his two years with Liverpool
Alexis Mac Allister admits he is aware of talk of a move to Real Madrid but remains focused on his Liverpool ambitions.
Liverpool came calling soon enough and the midfielder has largely been an ever present, barely missing a game for the Reds.
Real have long had a pull when it comes to South American players and the Spanish media claim that they are looking to further bolster their midfield with the signing of Mac Allister.
Liverpool already face the prospect of seeing Trent Alexander-Arnold leave for the Bernabeu.
Their 26-year-old midfielder doesn't look to have any plans to join him however as he closes in on becoming a Premier League winner - underlining the pride he has in playing for Liverpool.
Mac Allister told TyC Sports: “I read the rumours and the news reaches me, but the important thing is the present is no matter how much the club loves me, if I play poorly this weekend, they’ll lose interest.
I’m fine at Liverpool and I don’t have any need [to leave].
Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah have both signed new deals over the past fortnight with the Egyptian being linked with an Anfield exit for years, only to remain where he is.

The Reds have seen the likes of Luis Suarez and Philippe Coutinho - both South American stars - leave the club for big fees when Barcelona came calling.
Real though haven't been able to lure a major name from Anfield amid talk of their interest in Mac Allister.
Arne Slot has been hugely complimentary of his Argentine, who has been a pillar of his midfield, and recently said: “There’s a reason why Macca [Alexis Mac Allister] is a World Cup winner, because he shows up when you need him in terms of mentality."
