Alexis Mac Allister has shown his class after sharing a heartfelt message to Luis Diaz after getting the better of his Liverpool team-mate in Sunday’s Copa America final.
Argentina ran out 1-0 winners after extra-time, much to the delight of Mac Allister as the reigning world champions defended their continental crown.
But Diaz was understandably devastated by the loss, having helped fire Colombia to their first Copa America final since their only win in the tournament’s history back in 2001.
Los Cafeteros had put together a 28-game unbeaten run dating back to February 2022 prior to being downed by Argentina, to further add to their disappointment.

“Head up Luchito!” he wrote.
“And congratulations on the tournament you played.”
