Liverpool fans are slowly but surely understanding exactly how Arne Slot wants his new team to play.
New Liverpool manager Slot now boasts two wins from his two pre-season matches, defeating Real Betis and Arsenal.
And supporters have been given an insight into the Dutchman’s approach, with Mikel Arteta sharing what he noticed about Slot from the friendly clash.
Dominik Szoboszlai netted the first goal of the Slot reign against Betis, with Mohamed Salah and Fabio Carvalho scoring against the Gunners.
Carvalho has shared his chances of playing under Slot after his display, having returned to the Reds after being sent out on two loans by Jurgen Klopp.

The latest performance will be of more important than the result to Slot, who will keep the hard work going on and off the pitch.
Carvalho, who joined Liverpool from Fulham for £5million in 2022, has revealed exactly what the boss wants from his new group of players.

Discussing what changes Slot has made, Carvalho told the official Liverpool website: “I’d probably say playing more through the midfield.
Playing through them and getting me, Mo and the players higher up like Jots (Diogo Jota) on the ball as well.
“Being able to play through the thirds is what we want to do and what the manager wants to be our identity.”
Aged just 21, Carvalho can only get better, having been sent on loan to both RB Leipzig and Hull City last season.
The Tigers certainly got the best out of the attacker, who has proven his versatility in the final third of the pitch.

But he now has a clear role under Slot, with Carvalho explaining what the new Liverpool manager wants him to do on the pitch.
“He wants me to obviously do the defensive stuff first,” Carvalho said.
