Fulham star Antonee Robinson has played down speculation linking him with a summer move to Liverpool.

The former Everton youngster has been one of the best left-backs in the Premier League this season.

Only Liverpool superstar Mohamed Salah (17) has more assists in the top flight that Robinson, who sits second in the charts alongside Bukayo Saka of Arsenal and Mikkel Damsgaard of Brentford on 10.

In fact, the only defender who comes even close to the United States in terms of goals directly created is Reds right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold, who has six.

Assists have been harder to come by for Andy Robertson, however, with the Liverpool left-back yet to get off the mark in the Premier League so far.

There has been speculation that the Reds will look to sign Robertson's long-term replacement in the summer.

Milos Kerkez, of Bournemouth, is a target while speculation has suggested that Robinson is also of interest to Arne Slot and Richard Hughes.

But the 27-year-old, who started his career at Everton before moving to Wigan Athletic and then Fulham, told ESPN the rumours should be taken with a 'grain of salt'.

“I’ve been in the game long enough now to kind of know you have to block out the outside noise and things like that because I’ve been on the end of it when I’ve not been playing well,” said Robinson, who produced a fantastic performance when Fulham drew 2-2 with Liverpool at Anfield in December.

“I saw criticism when I was younger, seeing people doubting me and things.

You have to believe in yourself and when things are going bad, focus on yourself, and when things are going good, focus on keeping going.

“So, transfer rumours and stuff like that, I try not to look at.

Especially like with the Liverpool one, all my friends and family are from Liverpool, so it’s more of them messaging me than me seeing newspaper stuff.

"And I have to say, look, it’s just, just a story in the paper and anyone who’s doing well is going to get linked to a team.”

Fulham are currently 10th in the Premier League table, seven points behind fourth-placed neighbours Chelsea, and are through to the quarter-finals of the FA Cup, where they will host Crystal Palace.
