Liverpool has been linked with Red Star Belgrade wonderkid Andrija Maksimovic before but the player's agent has now claimed that Arne Slot's side is among the clubs to have made an offer for his client.

"It's no secret, there are some [bids]," Zoran Stojadinovic has said.

If the price was €10m [£8.4m/$10.4m] and he could go, Maksimovic would have already been sold."

In the Champions League group phase this season, Red Star Belgrade came up against Barcelona with Maksimovic facing follow 17-year-old wonderkid Lamine Yamal.

"Tomorrow I will go out and show Yamal that I’m better than him," he said ahead of that game.

"I also plan to exchange jerseys after — great player," he added
