Liverpool were determined to win the Premier League title so they could finally celebrate in person with their fans, according to Andy Robertson.
The Reds secured the title with a 5-1 win over Tottenham on Sunday and will lift the trophy after their final league game of the season, against Crystal Palace, on May 25.
There were jubilant celebrations at Anfield on Sunday evening after the thrashing of Spurs saw them get over the line with four matches to spare.
Like many of the most experienced players in the squad, this is his second Premier League title, following the one they won under Klopp in 2019/20.
Mohamed Salah admitted that this one was “100 per cent” better than the first one, that was impacted by the Covid-19 restrictions which didn’t allow fans inside stadiums.
Robertson made a similar point in his post-match interview on Sunday.
