Liverpool star Andy Robertson has insisted Mohamed Salah was "unbelievable" defensively in their 2-0 win over Manchester City after Micah Richards criticised him for not tracking back enough.
Salah was instrumental in Liverpool's first win at the Etihad since 2018 as he finished off a superb corner routine to put the Reds ahead before providing an assist for Dominik Szoboszlai to double their lead.
Liverpool have now edged closer to the Premier League title after going 11 points clear of Arsenal and Salah has been crucial to their huge advantage.
But during the game, Sky Sports pundit Richards questioned whether Salah should get more involved in the game defensively, urging him to drop back during City attacks to help Trent Alexander-Arnold deal with Jeremy Doku on the wing.

"Him and Lucho (Diaz) and that was key to us keeping a clean sheet."

Salah is now the only player to have contributed to 40 goals in two separate seasons and he's the first player to record a goal and assist in both games against the reigning Premier League champions.
