Andy Robertson has admitted his fellow defender Trent Alexander-Arnold is not in a good headspace after what has been a difficult few weeks for the Liverpool star.
Alexander-Arnold dominated headlines during the international break as an expected move to Real Madrid draws closer, while he is currently unable to play due to the injury suffered against Paris Saint-Germain three weeks ago.
The 26-year-old was forced to watch from the sidelines as Liverpool won the Merseyside derby on Wednesday and Robertson admitted the absence is impacting his team-mates.

He hates being injured, none of us like being injured but it hurts Trent a little bit more,” said the Scotland captain after the 1-0 win over Everton.
“That’s all he is focused on.
People can talk and speculate but for us we want Trent back very soon.”
Alexander-Arnold is expected to return before the end of the season but won’t be involved when Liverpool travels to Fulham this weekend.
He is such an intelligent footballer,” said Robertson.
The Reds need just 13 points from the final eight matches to clinch top spot and it could be even less than that by Sunday given Arsenal faces a tricky away match at Everton in Saturday’s early kick-off.
But even with a record-breaking 20th title within touching distance, Robertson said the players are not allowing themselves to lose focus.
“You guys talk about the 12 points but we talk about the next three points.
But we are still a long way off that.
“No-one here is allowing us to believe or think like that,” he added, when asked about the possibility of celebrating a title success in a few weeks
