Liverpool has no plans to move Andy Robertson on this summer, according to a recent report.
The Scotland captain has at times endured a difficult season - certainly by his lofty standards - and has dropped out of the starting XI twice in the Premier League following poor performances.
It has led to suggestions that Liverpool will be in the market for a new left-back this summer, something Jamie Carragher has repeatedly called for.
“For me, they [Liverpool] need to sign a left-back.
“If Liverpool find a young left-back with the potential to be a long-term replacement — Bournemouth’s Milos Kerkez, 21, is admired, for example — then Robertson, 30, can still play a part in the years ahead.
.
Finding a buyer for Kostas Tsimikas is more likely than moving on Robertson.”
It means, therefore, ahead of what could be a busy summer of incomings at Anfield, that left-back might not be among the priorities
Should an addition be made in that area, Kerkez is a name that has consistently been mentioned.
“It wouldn't look bad [working with Szoboszlai at Liverpool], that's for sure," the Bournemouth star said in a recent interview
I have big goals with Bournemouth, we still have a lot of games to win, that's the most important thing right now.”
Another left-back who Liverpool has been credited with interest in is Jorrel Hato, who attended a game at Anfield last month.
