Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou has made a bold prediction about Mohamed Salah following the Egyptian’s contract news.
Salah put pen to paper on a new two-year Liverpool deal on Friday, ending months of speculation about his future.
The 32-year-old ignored lucrative advances from Saudi Pro League clubs to sign a new £400-a-week deal that will keep him at Anfield till 2027.
Salah’s current deal will see him extend his stay at Liverpool for ten years.
While that sounds like music to the ears of Liverpool fans, rivals fans can’t wait for the day the Egyptian will finally pack his bags and leave the Premier League for good.
Salah has constantly terrorised defenses since his move to Anfield in 2017.
Despite being 32 years old, the attacker is one of the main orchestrators of Liverpool’s impressive season, with his 27 goals and 17 assists helping the Reds keep their place at the top of the league table.
As expected, Salah’s renewal has been generating a lot of comments in the English top flight.
Nottingham Forest’s Ola Aina has already declared that the “league is finished” upon hearing about the extension
Meanwhile, Pep Guardiola gave a rather curt reply when asked his thoughts about Salah’s contract extension.
“You have to ask Arne Slot and the fans of Liverpool,” Guardiola said, before reluctantly acknowledging, “Of course, there is no doubt about the quality of Mo Salah.”
