Ange Postecoglou insists Tottenham Hotspur want to do more than come through Sunday’s visit to Liverpool without any fresh injury concerns.

A point for Arne Slot’s Reds will confirm the title heads to Anfield and while Spurs’ focus is firmly on their Europa League semi-final next week, Postecoglou expects his team to put in a big performance.

Asked if Sunday’s top priority will be to emerge unscathed, Postecoglou said: “We want to do more than that.



That's the primary importance to us.”

Looking beyond Liverpool towards the first leg of the tie with Norwegian side Bodo/Glimt, Postecoglou continued: “You just got to try and deal with what’s before you.

Collectively if we give ourselves every opportunity to progress to a final, the momentum we get that will give us a chance to do something special.”

Postecoglou, whose team have lost 18 times already in the league, also piled the praise on Liverpool boss Slot for how he has navigated his first season since replacing Jurgen Klopp.
