Liverpool head coach Arne Slot admitted one thing he told his players during the 1-1 draw with Nottingham Forest was "completely wrong".
Diogo Jota came off the bench to rescue a point for his side after Chris Wood's first-half opener.
At the final whistle, Slot was asked about whether what he saw from his team provided any food for thought when it comes to the January transfer window.
But, brushing aside the idea that his roster needs signings, he explained that he feels he has more than enough options available to change matches using substitutions.
"I think you saw today again that I can still strengthen the team or impact the game with the substitutes I have on the bench," Slot said during his post-match press conference at the City Ground.
"Not for the first time this season, these players have helped us, that I could bring in.
I said to them at half-time don’t get frustrated, you will not get many chances, probably the game is going to be slow.
"But just keep focusing on what you have to do and hopefully you will get two or three chances and let’s try to score from that.
I was completely wrong because they created chance after chance after chance."
While Liverpool did have plenty of shots — 23 in total across the course of the 90 minutes — most were charged down by the Nottingham Forest backline.
Arsenal plays Spurs later today and could close the gap, but would then have played a game more.
