Liverpool coach Arne Slot has broken another Premier League record after guiding the Reds to a 4-0 win over Bayer Leverkusen yesterday.
The Dutchman has enjoyed a remarkable start to life at Liverpool.
When he arrived in the summer, there were fears he would struggle with the pace of the Premier League or have issues implementing his own style at the club.
However, in just three months, Slot has quickly dispelled any Jurgen Klopp hangover and is well on his way to creating his own storyline in his very first season.
He has done so while breaking some records and creating history.
For example, the Dutchman became the first manager of a Premier League team to win as many as eleven games in his 12th match in charge.
For context, Jurgen Klopp only managed to pick up eight wins, drawing three and losing one of his opening twelve.
Slot was also the first Liverpool manager to win his opening six away matches in a season.
Slot set the unbelievable milestone with victories at Ipswich Town, Manchester United, AC Milan, Wolves, Crystal Palace, and RB Leipzig.
The history books were re-written after Liverpool beat Bayer Leverkusen in the Champions League on Tuesday.
New Arne Slot record
By guiding the Reds to a 4-0 win in the Champions League on Tuesday, Arne Slot became the first Premier League boss to win 14 of their first 16 matches in charge.
The Liverpool manager tops the list of Premier League managers with the most wins in their first 16 games.
Carlo Ancelotti and Jose Mourinho, with 13 wins each in their first 16 games at Chelsea, are the closest to Slot on the list, while Unai Emery, with 12 wins in his first 16 games, is the only current Premier League manager on the list.
However, the Aston Villa manager achieved the feat at Arsenal.
Slot’s record has not come in vain?
The Dutchman has led Liverpool to the top of the Premier League and Champions League table, while his side is also in the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup.
He will be hoping to continue his impressive run when Liverpool welcome Aston Villa to Anfield on Saturday.
