Arne Slot has said his emotions got the better of him against Everton on Wednesday night and said he would 'love to do it differently' if he could.
The Liverpool manager has so far been unable to speak to the media after a chaotic end to the Merseyside derby on Wednesday night.
Slot was sent off by Michael Oliver following the full-time whistle and was therefore not permitted to conduct his usual post-match interviews from Goodison Park.
Slot was furious with several decisions made by Oliver on Wednesday, particularly in relation to James Tarkowski's late equalizer.
The Liverpool boss felt too much injury-time was played by the referee, with the goal scored in the 98th minute after five minutes of injury-time were originally indicated.
Slot also thought Ibrahiman Konate was fouled just seconds before Tarkowski smashed the ball beyond Alisson.
Curtis Jones and Abdoulaye Doucoure were also shown red after the full-time whistle for instigating an on-field melee, while Slot's assistant Sipke Hulshoff was dismissed in a dramatic conclusion to the derby.
Two days on, and ahead of Sunday's trip to Wolverhampton Wanderers, Slot spoke to journalists from the Reds' Kirkby base and.
"What happened was that the extra time that ended up being eight minutes and the emotions got the better of me.
What happened and what has been said, it’s an ongoing process."
