Arne Slot changes things up front as Reds aim for title glory: Liverpool's predicted XI vs Tottenham

Liverpool stand on the verge of winning a second Premier League title in six seasons as they face Tottenham Hotspur at Anfield on Sunday.

Arsenal’s draw against Crystal Palace in midweek left the Reds needing just a point to secure their status as champions.

With Anfield ready for a Premier League title party, Spurs will likely be up against it as they try to prolong the inevitable.

For Arne Slot, he won’t be taking anything for granted.

Liverpool kept a clean sheet last time out against Leicester and another on Sunday will see them crowned as champions.

After his match-winner last weekend, there is an argument for Trent Alexander-Arnold to come back in.

But we think Conor Bradley should play from now on and we suspect Slot will feel the same.

For this game at the very least.

At centre-back it is likely to be Ibrahima Konate and Virgil van Dijk as Liverpool’s first choice centre-backs aim to keep a title-winning clean sheet.

There is another decision to be made at left-back, where Kostas Tsimikas has been getting the nod over Andy Robertson recently.

With Liverpool exploring transfer options at left-back, this is a fascinating sub-plot to the end of the season and we think Slot will stick with Tsimikas again.

Slot has largely picked three from four in midfield this season and is unlikely to waver from that with the job almost done.

At Leicester it was the well-used Ryan Gravenbech, Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai triumvirate which Slot has usually turned to for the biggest games.

While it’s true that Liverpool only need a point here, this is still the biggest of games and as a result we’d expect that trio to go again.

Curtis Jones was not happy after only getting a minute or two off the bench against Leicester, but he’s going to have to cop for it again as he settles for a substitute role.

With Liverpool’s defence and midfield relatively straightforward choices, Slot does have a decision to make in attack.

Darwin Nunez’s latest ill-judged social media post looks to have obliterated any chance he might have had at starting, while Cody Gakpo probably didn’t do enough after beginning last week’s match.

So, with Nunez and Gakpo missing out, we think Slot will change things and bring Diogo Jota back in to play through the middle, while shifting Luis Diaz back out to the left.

On the right, Mohamed Salah will be dreaming of scoring the title-clinching goal to top off what has been a ridiculously good campaign.
