Liverpool will continue to be careful with Portugal striker Diogo Jota, who made his first start in the Premier League in around four months against his old club Wolves over the weekend.
Arne Slot has confirmed that he won't start Jota in each of the three matches this week.
The 28-year-old was in the starting line-up against Wolves but will drop out for one of the games with Aston Villa and Manchester City, with the Reds having the chance to move 10 points clear at the top of the table midweek.
"He has a role like many others," Slot said during his press conference ahead of facing Aston Villa.
