Arne Slot speaks at his Liverpool press conference to preview the visit of Newcastle United
Liverpool have been handed an injury blow after Arne Slot confirmed that Conor Bradley is set for a prolonged spell on the sidelines.
The Northern Ireland international limped off in the Reds’ 2-2 draw at Aston Villa last week before missing Sunday’s victory at Manchester City.
Bradley's absence leaves Trent Alexander-Arnold, who himself has only recently returned from injury and has been managed carefully by Slot in recent games as a result, as the only recognised senior right-back available in the Liverpool squad.
Joe Gomez, who can play in the position, is ruled out until the final weeks of the season after undergoing surgery on a hamstring injury.

Jarell Quansah is an emergency option, having come off the bench at right-back late on against both Aston Villa and Man City, while he started in the role when the Reds drew 3-3 at Newcastle United earlier in the season.
With Bradley sidelined for a number of weeks, Slot remains without three senior players for the visit of Newcastle to Anfield on Wednesday night.
Along with Gomez, Tyler Morton is also a long-term absentee after undergoing surgery on a shoulder injury.
However, there was better news regarding Alexis Mac Allister with the Liverpool head coach confirming the midfielder will be available to face Newcastle at Anfield.
The Argentina international took a blow to the face in the win over City and later posted a selfie on Instagram showcasing a swollen cheek and black eye.
