Liverpool are Premier League champions, with the Reds accomplishing the feat with four games left to go.

One of the earliest confirmed league champions in top-flight history, Liverpool have been by far and away the best side in England this season, with the Anfield side going the entire campaign relatively unchallenged by the likes of Arsenal and Manchester City.

With Gary Neville lauding Arne Slot for his tactics against Tottenham, Liverpool were in no danger of not losing on Sunday even after going 1-0 down, with the day belonging to the Merseyside giants as they finally secured their 20th league title.

Yet with four games left to go, Liverpool will want to end the season with a flourish, and here are three tactical tweaks Slot could consider making looking ahead to the new Premier League year in August.

Jamie Carragher called out Dominik Szoboszlai for his underwhelming goal involvement numbers for the season, and the Hungarian international responded in turn with two assists against Tottenham in what was a fine performance for the 24-year-old.

And heading into the final four games of the season, Slot could be tempted to push the boat out with Szoboszlai and to give the Hungarian international instructions to play a more advanced role, with the attacking midfielder having the quality to be a real threat in the final third.

With nothing to play for but pride, Szoboszlai playing higher up the pitch or even as a striker could be an exciting change for Liverpool fans, who know that the former RB Leipzig star has the qualities needed to be a goalscoring threat.

Mohamed Salah has been by far and away the best player in the Premier League this season, with the 32-year-old attacker a massive reason why Liverpool have wrapped up the league as early as they have under Slot.

With Salah stating his drive to break the Premier League goal involvement record, the Egyptian international could once again take his game to another level to end the season with a flourish, and a move to striker could be a potential idea.

Indeed, Darwin Nuenz’s likely departure from Liverpool this summer means there is room to experiment in the striker position, and Salah would be an obvious choice given his form in front of goal this season, with the move also allowing Federico Chiesa to get some much-needed minutes before summer training.

If Salah has been the best player for Liverpool this season, a good case can be made that Alexis Mac Allister will be runner up in this list, with the Argentine international enjoying an incredible year alongside Ryan Gravenberch as the midfield pivot.

However, it’s easy to forget that Mac Allister was signed by Liverpool from Brighton & Hove Albion as an attacking midfielder having led Argentina to the 2022 FIFA World Cup playing in an advanced position whilst scoring regularly in the Premier League with the Seagulls.

10 role could be an idea for Slot, one that could also allow the Dutch manager to experiment more with the central midfield with Curtis Jones or Harvey Elliott alongside Gravenberch going into next year.
