Liverpool boss Arne Slot has hit out at criticism of his decision to take off Trent Alexander-Arnold in the draw against Aston Villa.
And in something of a gaffe, he also admitted that he has never heard of Mark Lawrenson.
"When I was driving up, I was listening to talkSPORT and I don't know who he is, but I think his name was Mark Lawrenson or something," Slot told reporters.
Liverpool legend Mark Lawrenson.
The Liverpool boss was two years old when Lawrenson made his first of 356 appearances for the Reds, all of which came in the 1980s. And with the shoe on the other foot, there's little chance that Lawrenson would be aware of an equivalent Feyenoord legend.

For what it's worth, Lawrenson did praise Slot before questioning the Alexander-Arnold call.
Liverpool hasn't been beaten away from home."
The frustration from Lawrenson is understandable, with Alexander-Arnold looking really fired up after his goal
