Liverpool is making a mockery of the pre-season predictions made by several pundits at the beginning of the campaign, with Arne Slot having made a seamless transition to life at Anfield.
While Liverpool winning the title was not necessarily expected, and Manchester City's sharp decline was not foreseen by anyone, it was always likely that the Reds would have a good go.
While they didn't make many signings in the summer window, Liverpool was the team that finished third under Jurgen Klopp and was in the title race until the last few weeks.
Ahead of the 2024/25 season starting, the BBC rounded up predictions from 30 pundits and not one said Liverpool would win the Premier League title.
The Premier League asked 11 pundits including Michael Owen, Darren Bent and Jermain Defoe and they all went for either Arsenal or Manchester City.
But while no one fancied Liverpool, Slot's side is now 11 points clear at the top.
Gary Neville famously had Liverpool finishing outside of the top four and thought that Manchester United would be ahead of the Reds, while Roy Keane said similar.
"Yes, I think so [Liverpool miss out on top four], unless they get a couple of signings in the next few weeks," Keane said in August.
So far, he has lost just one game of real consequence (against Nottingham Forest) and leads the Premier League table by what should be an unassailable 11 points.
If Liverpool can hold off any late push in the league, it should also be eyeing up more trophies too
