Liverpool head coach Arne Slot says Diogo Jota returns to the starting XI to take on Newcastle United because he is no longer feeling the effects of playing twice last week.
Meanwhile, having started several games in a row, Andy Robertson drops out of the team, with Greek full-back Kostas Tsimikas replacing him.
The rest of the Liverpool defense remains the same with Conor Bradley out injured and Jarell Quansah on the bench.
"I said before the City game that Diogo wasn’t fully recovered and that was the reason why he didn’t play," Slot told TNT Sports.
"Now he is fully recovered because I didn’t play him at all.

Andy Robertson has played many games and he was also included in the team against PSV Eindhoven so I think he played seven or eight starts in three weeks.
Jarell Quansah, as well as Robertson, is an option off the bench.
The first-choice Liverpool midfield three of Ryan Gravenberch, Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai all start, even though the latter was flat out on the floor with exhaustion after the weekend
Liverpool therefore has plenty of options if Slot, who will be in the stands, needs a game-changer.
