Liverpool took a step nearer the Premier League title with a dramatic victory over West Ham United on Sunday afternoon.

Virgil van Dijk's 89th-minue header ultimately earned the Reds a 2-1 triumph and moved them 13 points clear at the top of the table.

Arne Slot's side now need only six points from their final six matches to claim the championship and will hope to eat into that tally when they travel to relegation-threatened Leicester City on Sunday afternoon.

Robertson decision

Having been largely resistant to rotation for much of the season, Slot made four changes on Sunday with mixed results.

And there are likely to be more alterations for the trip to the King Power Stadium.

Alisson Becker returned in goal at the weekend and will, injury permitting, be expected to start ahead of Caoimhin Kelleher with Vitezslav Jaros the third choice.

Kostas Tsimikas was given a rare Premier League opportunity, but Andy Robertson is likely to return at left-back.

At right-back, Conor Bradley successfully got through an hour on his first start since mid-February and will benefit from another week on the training ground.

Wataru Endo still hasn't started a Premier League game this season - all 16 top-flight outings have been as substitute - with Jones another capable of playing in the role.

The versatile midfielder started as the number 10 at the weekend and will come under pressure for a starting role from Dominik Szoboszlai, who was rested to the bench.

Harvey Elliott is another whose league outings have been limited to substitute this campaign.

Youngsters Tyler Morton, who is again available after a shoulder operation, James McConnell and Trey Nyoni haven't featured in the Premier League this season.

Gakpo on standby

Any changes in attack could well be dependent on the availability of Darwin Nunez, who was missing from a matchday squad for only the fourth time this season on Sunday with Slot stating the player had suffered from illness ahead of the game.

Should Nunez be back, he will challenge Diogo Jota for a central role, although Luis Diaz could shift across from the left flank having ended the win over West Ham as the number nine.

Cody Gakpo was benched at the weekend but scored the equaliser in the 3-1 home win over Leicester City on Boxing Day when starting on the left.
