Arne Slot was left more than impressed by the welcome his Liverpool side received at Anfield on Sunday afternoon.

Thousands of Reds supporters took to the streets to welcome their side ahead of their Premier League clash against Tottenham Hotspur.

Slot’s side know that just a point against Spurs would be enough to secure the title.



As a result, Anfield is gearing up for a party.

And Reds supporters certainly made their voices heard as their side arrived, with red smoke also filling the air as the Liverpool team bus made its way along Anfield Road before heading into the ground.

Reacting to the scenes, Slot told Sky Sports: "That was impressive.

Because while we are still going to be concentrating on the task in front of us, which is a tough game against Tottenham Hotspur, we also know what the day means for everyone associated with the club.

“And, well, it means everything.

“To win the Premier League is special, however and wherever you do it.

It’s our dream, it’s your dream, and our aim on Sunday is to make sure that dream comes true."

Before he added: “Nothing has been given to us, and I don’t expect that to change on Sunday.

“It is clear that Tottenham are not where they want or expect to be in terms of their own league position, but that doesn’t matter on the day.

I am expecting a very tough game against a very talented team.
