Liverpool won a hard-fought match at home against Wolverhampton Wanderers, re-establishing their seven point lead in the hunt for the title.

However, some Liverpool fans in the ECHO comments section say that there's work to do with the team to avoid opponents hurting them late on.

The Reds were far from their indomitable best, but came out on top after enduring a strong second half from the Midlands visitors.



A Luis Diaz goal and a Mohamed Salah penalty, in the first half, proved to be a bridge too far for resurgent Wolves in the latter half of the game, despite Matheus Cunha's efforts and goal in reply.

Head coach Arne Slot spoke about pressure on the pace-setters after the game, saying: "These wins are even more important than when you play Tottenham and win 4-0.

However, I feel we got a bit lucky today, especially the second half.

He has been quite impressive for us, though, so I can't criticise him too much."

Campione85 writes: "Decent first half but the second was poor, our passing could be this side's undoing unless it improves.

No surprise considering the lack of rotation, and also after that game against them lot on Wednesday.
