Arne Slot has been praised for not falling into the same traps at Liverpool that saw David Moyes struggle when he succeeded Alex Ferguson at Manchester United in 2013.
And former defender Jason McAteer has highlighted the head coach's "charisma" as being key in helping him settle so quickly after replacing the legendary Jurgen Klopp.
Slot has won nine of his 10 games in all competitions so far to guide the Reds to the top of the Premier League and into the fourth round of the Carabao Cup, while back-to-back victories over AC Milan and Bologna sees the team well placed in the revamped Champions League ahead of a meeting at RB Leipzig later this month.

McAteer believes the circumstances around Slot's arrival at Anfield made it even more difficult for the Dutchman, replacing such an iconic figure in Klopp on the back of a good season that saw the club finish third in the Premier League and win the Carabao Cup.
But the former Feyenoord boss has been hailed for his fledgling weeks on Merseyside by the former Ireland international.

"Listen, when a manager tends to go into a football club, it’s usually to change fortunes, and that obviously wasn’t the case for Slot," McAteer told Gambling Zone.
The mindset at Liverpool has been all about success over the last seven or eight years.

"Jurgen Klopp was the focal point of the football club.
You only need to look 30 miles down the road at Manchester United to see the difference that positive results bring."
McAteer added: "Slot hasn’t faced any moments of adversity yet, but they will come.
