Arne Slot has revealed the key differences between the best players at Liverpool and those at his former side Feyenoord.
The Dutchman joined Liverpool from the Feyenoord last summer, bringing his highly successful three-year spell at the Dutch club to a close when he moved to Anfield.
Under Slot, Feyenoord returned to the peak of the Dutch top flight, with the current Liverpool manager leading them to an Eredivisie title in his second season.
He also led the club to the 2022 UEFA Europa Conference League final in his first season and also won the KNVB Cup before his departure.
He has yet to taste silverware at Liverpool, but his record-breaking start to life at Anfield suggests that it won’t be long before he wins something.
Under his guidance, Liverpool have won an incredible 27 out of their opening 35 games (D5, L3).
They sit at the Premier League table, and finished top of the UEFA Champions League group.
Key to Slot’s success is his players, many of whom can be classified in the world-class bracket.
During a wide-ranging interview with Gary Lineker, Slot was asked about the difference between the best players of Liverpool and those he had at Feyenoord.

The Liverpool manager told Lineker that his current crop of players at Liverpool have an edge over their counterparts at Feyenoord.
When asked about the difference in the level between Liverpool players and those he managed at Feyenoord, Slot said:
“A lot of them are world-class players.
Let’s be clear, the ones that I worked with Feyenoord, some of them played for the national teams.
“But the overall quality of Liverpool players is, of course, more.
But what I think the difference is if I compare the best one here to the best ones at Feyenoord, these ones are a bit more agile, faster, quicker in turning, stronger, more powerful.
“So they are the best athletes in the world playing at the highest level?
That’s what you can see here as well.”
“The main difference if I look at the training session is finishing,” he added.
“So if I look at the finishing of these players, the power of their shot, how precise they are, that is another level compared to Feyenoord.”
