Having been surprisingly beaten 3-0 by Crystal Palace in the FA Cup quarter-final, they then lost 2-1 against Arsenal on Tuesday.
Nevertheless, Fulham are a good team and have caused Liverpool problems over recent seasons.
The Reds will have to be at it to get the three points.
For Arne Slot, he has several selection issues to ponder as he decides on the best way to collect a victory on his first trip to Craven Cottage.
One of the more interesting selection decisions is what Slot opts to do at right-back.
What the Liverpool head coach eventually decides could have clear ramifications for the future of Jarell Quansah.

Speaking to the press on Thursday, Slot kept his options open over who will play right-back for Liverpool against Fulham.
For Everton, with Conor Bradley not yet back in full training, many had expected Quansah to retain his place from the Carabao Cup final.

However, Slot threw a curveball and put Curtis Jones in at full-back.
After Jones did well, the Dutch coach has a decision to make on Sunday.
Jones confirmed after the win that Slot had sold him on playing right-back by arguing that Liverpool will actually have a lot more of the ball than the Toffees, and so he would effectively be playing as a a midfielder anyway.

Given Fulham will be expected to pose more of an attacking threat on Sunday, the same logic does not really apply.
As a result, if Jones is preferred to Quansah again, it could be decidedly bad news for the defender.
Of course, Quansah is not naturally a right-back and that should be remembered.
But Slot choosing Jones ahead of him once again would not be a great sign for his Liverpool future.
Quansah has had a difficult season on the whole but still has plenty to offer this Liverpool squad.
Micah Richards called Quansah ‘vital‘ after a brilliant contribution against Wolves in February and fans shouldn’t lose sight of what he could yet become.
Still, natural right-back or not, being bumped for a midfielder is not a promising sign and that will be compounded if Slot makes the same decision twice in sucession.
There have been rumours that Newcastle are keen to sign Quansah this summer and if the Liverpool academy graduate cannot get in the team with such depleted defensive options, that may start to look more attractive to him.
So, while it may seem like a somewhat minor call for Slot to make for Sunday’s game, what he decides at right-back could ultimately have wider-reaching ramifications.
