Arne Slot claims he doesn’t care where Liverpool when the Premier League as long as they finish the job.

Liverpool need six more points to clinch a record-equalling 20th title after Virgil van Dijk’s 89th-minute winner against West Ham and it could happen next Sunday if Arsenal lose to Ipswich and the Reds win at Leicester.

Liverpool fans want them to clinch it the following Sunday in front of them at Anfield against Tottenham and Slot says he is just focused on two more wins.

The Reds are 13 points clear of Arsenal and Slot said: “If I have to win it 15 kilometres from here, I don’t care where we have to win it.

We know we still have to win two more games and in 32 occasions that has been difficult.

“That’s the only thing we should focus on and this week we should try to improve, improve, improve more and more to give ourselves a better chance of winning a game of football next week, where we face Leicester.

“Everybody can talk, talk, talk, but what I’ve seen about Leicester is for the first time in 11 games, they scored two goals and got a result, so they will have more confidence.

“We’ve shown in the last 32 games there have only been two or three wins that were quite comfortable, but the rest were very, very, very hard work.

That’s our only focus, that’s my only focus, winning a game of football.”

Slot celebrated in front of the Kop for the first time and he said he wanted to thank the fans for hauling the team over the winning line.

“To win in such a big moment where the fans helped us, that’s why I showed them I appreciate them throughout the whole season and definitely today,” said the Reds head coach.

West Ham were unlucky not to get a point, with Alisson making a string of excellent saves, and boss Graham Potter felt it was their best performance under him.

“The performance of the team was really positive, probably the best performance we’ve had since we’ve been here,” he said.
