Arne Slot has extended an open invitation to Jurgen Klopp to join Liverpool's cheering section at Wembley next month, after admitting he's already asked his predecessor to return to Anfield.
Klopp, who claimed the Carabao Cup in his final season as Kop boss, could watch the Reds attempt to defend their title against Newcastle in the final on March 16.
Slot believes there would be no issue with the German taking a seat in the VIP area, despite Klopp not being able to accept an earlier offer to watch Liverpool at Anfield this season.
Slot remarked: "I wouldn't mind him (Klopp) coming.
I invited him, I think, to the (Manchester) City and Real (Madrid) games, but he told me he has a job and is somewhere else in the world.
"He can be here every single time he wants to come - either to the training ground or the games.
He is more than welcome.
"But at this moment he had a job to do and in the first half of the season he had a job to do with his wife, enjoying life.
For me, he is always welcome."
Klopp stepped down from Anfield last summer citing exhaustion after eight years at the helm.
However, he made a comeback to football following a six-month break when Red Bull offered him the role of global head of soccer for their group of clubs.
The German said at the time: "It's a sports decision and I love the Red Bull sports idea.
It's exciting, it's adventurous, it's innovative and I want to be part of that – and now I am."
