Arne Slot says Liverpool are still suffering from Everton’s last-gasp equaliser during their nervy finale against Wolves as Vitor Pereira claimed Ibrahima Konate should have been sent off.
Liverpool held on for victory to re-establish their seven-point Premier League lead - despite failing to muster a single shot in the second half - and Slot felt they are still haunted by the Blues’ 98th-minute leveller.
In what may be a concern to Liverpool fans, Slot also conceded his side were looking a little lethargic.
I did see for the first time this season that players were more tired than they have been."
Slot also admitted he took Konate off at half-time because he was worried he might be sent off and Pereira claims he should have gone for a second booking.
“I’m not the referee, but yes for me,” said Pereira.
“The first team I didn’t recognise because we didn’t play in our way, didn’t force the mistakes, didn’t press.
“But in the second half everything changed because the mentality clicked.
