But Conor Bradley returned to the side last week in the defeat against Fulham following a two-month injury layoff and Slot confirmed the academy graduate is ready to start when West Ham travels to Anfield on Sunday.
The Northern Irishman came on with 23 minutes remaining at Craven Cottage and provided an assist for Luis Diaz during his cameo appearance.
“Of course it’s a boost, it’s always a boost when quality players come back,” Slot said of Bradley.
“Especially quality players in that position, because I think Curtis Jones is a quality player but it’s not his favourite position.
“So to have a player in his favourite position might be better for the team.
Conor Bradley returned to the Liverpool team last week.
I think Curtis played well also against Fulham
But now to have Conor back, I think we all would make the same decision and that’s playing Conor in that position.”
It means Liverpool only has two injuries head into the game, with Alexander-Arnold still absent and Joe Gomez also set to miss out against West Ham
