Liverpool went eight points clear at the top of the Premier League on Wednesday night with a 2-2 draw at Aston Villa.
After Mohamed Salah's opener had been cancelled before half time by goals from Youri Tielemans and Ollie Watkins, Trent Alexander-Arnold secured a point with an equaliser after an hour.
It means the Reds are now eight clear of Arsenal before the Gunners' trip to West Ham United on Saturday.
Jockeying alongside him was Trent Alexander-Arnold, who did enough to unnerve the Villa man, who sent a left-footed cross harmlessly out for a goal.
With their tails up thanks to the scoreline, Reds fans in the away end wasted no time reminding Rashford of his Mancunian roots and, as you would expect given the rivalry between the two clubs, the supporters' chants were not entirely complimentary as they did so.
You can take the England international out of Manchester...but Liverpool fans will always renew hostilities when they meet again.
Close enough.
Fans sent messages
After scoring Liverpool's equaliser on the night, Trent Alexander-Arnold made an immediate beeline for the fans in the away and urged them turn up the volume.
As the Reds defender waved his arms in their direction, the message of togetherness was clear.
Dominik Szoboszlai was spotted doing likewise as the game ticked towards stoppage time but the Liverpool midfielder clearly believed the fans still had a major role to play if there was to be a late winner.
There would be no dramatic winning goal but Szoboszlai and Alexander-Arnold's gestures to the fans was instructive to just how vital their help will be for the squad in the coming weeks as the title pressure gets set to be turned right up.
