Arne Slot brushed off chants from Nottingham Forest fans on Tuesday night that insinuated the Liverpool manager was cracking under the pressure.

The Reds came away from the City Ground with a 1-1 draw, and a point at the side second in the league will be taken as a positive even if the visitors missed several huge chances late on.

Suddenly the passing rhythm was off, there were a number of careless errors and slack passes, while after an hour the side was yet to register a shot on target.

The Forest fans certainly enjoyed Liverpool’s disjointed display and were heard chanting: “We’re in your head, in your head.

Thankfully for Slot, his players rallied.

So, despite a poor first hour, Slot said post-match that he was pleased with his team’s performance.

Slot laughed off the chants of Nottingham Forest fans on Tuesday night.

I was completely wrong because they created chance after chance after chance.”

Asked about the Forest fans’ chants, Slot laughed it off and replied: “I thought they just liked the style of play my team had.”

The result leaves Liverpool seven points clear at the top of the Premier League table, although that could be reduced to four if Arsenal wins Wednesday’s North London derby.

Results elsewhere were positive for Liverpool with Chelsea and Manchester City dropping points on Tuesday, although whether Slot still sees those sides as even outside challengers for top spot is another question.
