Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk might have committed their futures to Liverpool by signing new contracts this month, but a number of Reds players still have question marks hanging over their heads.
Arne Slot’s men have enjoyed a remarkable season as they close in on the Premier League title, but it would be little surprise if a number of their would-be champions then departed this summer.
While the aforementioned pair have extended their contracts, Trent Alexander-Arnold could leave when his own deal expires and is anticipated to join Real Madrid.
Darwin Nunez is then perhaps the most likely contracted player to exit the club, having failed to convince under Slot and with Liverpool set to target a new striker.

With the Reds also anticipated to be in the market for a new left-back, the futures of Andy Robertson - who is about to enter the final year of his contract - and Kostas Tsimikas are also both uncertain.
With AFC Bournemouth's Milos Kerkez one player of interest, you would expect either the Scot or Greek to move on if the Reds pursue the Hungarian (or an alternative) this summer.
Caoimhin Kelleher - who is out of contract in 2026 - is also expected to be granted an Anfield exit this summer after serving a number of years as back-up to Alisson Becker, with Liverpool having already agreed a £29m deal with Valencia to sign goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili.

But there are still a number of players who could move on beyond that.
The centre-back has been offered a new contract but revealed in January he was not yet close to signing an extension.
Consequently, the Reds must decide whether to retain his services for the final year of his contract and risk losing Konate for nothing next summer or cash in now if he appears unlikely to sign an extension.
Elsewhere, Harvey Elliott and Wataru Endo’s futures are also under question following bit-part roles under Slot, while both Jarell Quansah and Joe Gomez have also been linked with exits.
But Arne Slot appeared to downplay such expectations when insisting Liverpool do not need more than one or two players at his latest pre-match press conference on Friday.
“I think at Liverpool there is always a big summer and it is already a big summer now,” the Dutchman said.
But it was the same last season when the likes of Gomez, Endo and Diaz were all tipped to depart only to end up staying put.
As a result, the Reds did not need replacements and Chiesa proved to be their only summer signing, completing Slot’s quota in the process with the Dutchman preferring to have at least two senior options for every position.
There is a clear starting point for Liverpool’s summer transfer business, as Slot points to one or two possible new arrivals.

But which of their own senior players attract interest and then wish to move on will have a rather large say in just how active the Reds prove to be beyond that as the transfer window unfolds.
