Arne Slot has expressed his gratitude to Liverpool principal owner John Henry for the trust that has been rewarded with the Reds becoming Premier League winners.
Slot was an unheralded name by many when handed the onerous task of replacing Jurgen Klopp in the dugout when the popular German opted to leave at the end of last season.
The Dutchman, though, has repaid the faith shown in him by the Anfield hierarchy by leading the club to a record-equalling 20th championship in his first season in charge.
The Reds sealed a second Premier League crown in five years with four games to spare by destroying Tottenham Hotspur 5-1 at a jubilant Anfield on Sunday afternoon.
Liverpool are 15 points clear at the top of the table on 82 points and now cannot be caught by nearest challengers Arsenal.

Henry and his wife Linda Pizzutti were among those present at the stadium, with Slot having a conversation with the Fenway Sports Group chief on the pitch after the game.
And when asked what was said by Henry, Slot responded: “Probably congratulations!
It was special for them (FSG) as well I think to be part of this moment, for them to trust me in this position.

“Maybe now everybody says it made complete sense but the moment they signed me maybe not everyone was as confident as everyone is now.
“That tells you also what a special club this is that they don’t always go for the most simple or obvious choice but they make the choice they think is best for the club.
“It must be a special moment for them as well, the second time in five years they have won the league and now to do this in front of our fans is special for everyone, including them.”
